Since her debut performance in January of 2009, opening for the nationally acclaimed new-grassers Cadillac Sky, Julia and her band have subsequently been invited to perform at premier events across Colorado’s Front Range such as The Capitol Hill People’s Fair and The Taste of Colorado, each hosting well over 250,000 attendees. JULIA BRYAN is a fresh voice in Colorado’s original music scene. Described as 'Dylan and Young in a blender with cool harmonica' Wes and Victoria began their musical sojourn in San Antonio, Texas. Their first music business mentor was Augie Meyers, keyboardist and songwriter for the legendary band The Sir Douglas Quintet. People tell me I have a sound they really love and maybe you'll agree. I'm really hooked on in-your-face power rock and roll, but my lyrics soften the blow! As an artist my main goal is to connect with people who can relate to the poetry in my songs, and feel like there's hope and light at the end of the tunnel. This isn't about 'the big bucks' for me, but rather an extension of my love of life and music. I formed my band, POLARADIO, in 2006, and we've just released our 2nd album, Uphill Revolution. All of the band members are very much in-tune, on all levels, and really know how to put on a show. SUBVOCAL Madison WI Psychedelic Folk Noir Ambient Rock
Guitarist-Vocalist-Composer, Mark Adkins, gives birth to a new yet timeless sound and fury through his band Subvocal. With the release of their debut recording, Nikkis Room, comes a fistful of recognition as the Best Band and Best CD in the Madison area. DOUBLE DOWN Denver CO Big Rock Pop Surprise Elements Country Rock
Double Down is hugely influenced by the big arena rock bands of the 80’s. Bands like Guns & Roses, Van Halen, and Pink Floyd to name a few. There’s nothing like the sound of blazing guitars, thundering bass and bombastic drums to get your heart thumping! Now, this doesn’t mean that Double Down is out sporting zebra striped spandex and gobs of eyeshadow. In fact, despite our Rock roots, Double Down’s songwriting is more reminiscent of the Gin Blossoms and Goo-Goo Dolls, but with a little extra “oomph” thrown in.
Double Down's first independent release “Still Motion” showcases Rock, Blues, Country, and penmanship of the early singer/songwriter days. Double Down takes it up a notch in their newly produced CD, “Polarity”, a more refined and complex manifestation. This artist walks a fine line between the ambience of the Moody Blues, with a twist of Pink Floyd, the Beatles and a splash of Talking Heads all rolled into one monumental experience to create the unique flavor and texture of Elmo Chesterhazy. No doubt the compositions are strictly his own interpretation with classy guitar work, and lyrical content that beckons you to listen closely over and over again until you get it and can sing along, or at least hum along.

ADAM STERN Denver CO Instrumental Jazz Funk Blues Americana

Adam Stern has been “bubbling under the radar” for some time now, but with the release of his nine-song instrumental CD, Twang Shui , that's changed. As one Denver journalist recently stated, “Ladies and Gentleman, I think we may have the next Steely Dan/Medeski Martin Wood here in our backyard.”
A guitarist with ears tuned to music's past, present and future, Colorado's Adam Stern uses the concept of “roots music” as a launching pad and not a creative prison. Twang Shui showcases styles ranging from angular fusion to second-line New Orleans funk to classic country to full-throttle rock. Thunderous drum 'n' bass beats co-exist with ambient acoustic music on an album that is more “song” than “shred.” The emphasis is on group dynamics and overall emotive principles as opposed to yet another hyperactive guitarist blazing through his licks of the week.
Stern is currently one of the busiest musicians in Colorado, doing close to 170 gigs in 2008. Aside from Adam Stern Trio -AS3- he plays with funk-rock band Double Parked (with members of Polytoxic), Allman Brothers tribute band Mountain Jam and in addition has backed numerous Colorado country artists. He also spent four years working with Leftover Salmon keyboard player Bill McKay (as well as sharing the stage with LoS founders Vince Hermann and Drew Emmitt). Stern has also been featured in numerous large-scale productions including a critically lauded re-creation of Radiohead's OK Computer album at Denver's Oriental Theater in May 2008.

HILLBILLY HELLCATS The World Rockabilly Swing Punk-Newgrass
Founded in Boulder County in 1994, the Hellcats enjoyed a successful run in the '90s, fueled by a rockabilly/swing revival and two albums, Rev It Up with Taz and Our Brand., which have sold over 50,000 copies. The trio tours nationally and in Europe. Chuck Hughes, the group's guitarist and frontman, took time off in 2003, and relocated to southern California to study music at the Hollywood-based Musicians Institute, where he honed his skills in laptop recording and worked with bassist John Hatton from the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
Hughes reunited with longtime bassist Lance Bakemeyer and recruited drummer Randee McKnight, and has scheduled a non-stop tour across the states with an October excursion to Australia. Together, the trio creates a fiery brand of rockabilly that delves into such diverse realms as bluegrass and punk. "Some people call it heavy metal country, some call it modern rockabilly," Hughes says. "We gravitate toward a more modern, high-energy sound." WADIRUM Boulder-Denver CO Folk-Rock Pop Eclectic
WadiRum was named by the band's leader, Stewart Erlich, after traveling for 6 months in the middle east. Wadi Rum is a region in Jordan where Erlich found himself miraculously healed after suffering a debilitating illness during his travels in the desert. The music is much like the region: raw, powerful, silent and loud in turns, and ultimately healing.
WadiRum's songs build to crescendo, with lush harmony, dark, warm bass and cello, and drums that move from subtle to explosive. Each song is different, but the message is the same- the revelation of the human heart.
As a band, we try to make great music onstage and in the studio... we write our songs together, and bring our diverse backgrounds into the musical melting pot. Our strengths include using full-range dynamics, and creating songs with evocative lyrics. Band member are: Stewart Erlich - vocal, guitars, composition, Jesse Varner - bass, Adam Randall -drums, Beth Rosbach - cello. They tell such intimate, personal stories that resonate with your own experience, evoking emotions perhaps you thought were buried too deep to access again. ROGER HOLZHEIMER Denver CO Acoustic Indie Folk Rock Singer-Songwriter
Solitary strumming in beautiful Colorado. The title "ROUGH HEWN HEART" appropriately reflects the mix of songs on this first CD; a heart which has seen a bit too much weathering, cracking over the years, but becoming stronger as it seasoned. This is the result of years of experiences, many miles, and more than enough emotions. Roger Holzheimer has been playing and writing for many years but decided in 2008 to self-release this first collection of songs.
A product of Cleveland, Ohio, first and foremost, but also a product of all the places he has lived, visited, or heard about. He has been living in Colorado for the last ten years, finally having a place he can call home. A self-taught guitarist, the chords and structures he chooses may not at all times seem "normal" but at all times seem to work with the song. Take the time to listen.

Greg Johnson is a household name in his home country of New Zealand, where he has had multiple Gold and Platinum selling albums on the EMI/Capitol Label. TIM YUNKER Denver CO Acoustic Pop A'Cappella Indie
Reigning from his stomping grounds of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, and presently residing in Denver, Tim Yunker blends his obsession with various harmonies and a capella pieces in creating his signature, R&B/Soul sound. As a singer/songwriter, the Hip-Hop layer of his secular sound becomes evident in the beatboxing, rhythms and synths that are juxtaposed throughout his songs.

A collaboration of southern influenced rhythm and bluegrass-county-folk-rock, The Woodies offer a unique blend of original lyrics, while adding new flair to classic as well as new blues/rock tunes to venues ranging from “The Little Bear” to quaint cafes. Band members include: John Lister, Paul Preziosi, Mike Engle, Rick Bradeen, Bob Bradeen and Shannon Stapleton.
The Woodies are notorious for performing at many benefits including, The Kid’s Cure For Cancer. Musical influences for the band range from Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Little Feat, to Freddie King. The Woodies band was formed out of the ashes of the Kindred Spirit in 1991, when John Lister and Paul Preziosi were first introduced. The two amazingly compatible guitarists met on a regular basis by saying, “Let’s get our woodies and play.” This became the most logical answer when asked, “Who are you guys?”…. The Woodies! In 1993 Mike Engle, who had worked with Paul, was introduced to the band. He has been mixing sound, adding character as well as humor, playing bass, and singing ever since. In the same year while auditioning drummers, the backbone of The Woodies was found - Rick Bradeen. After witnessing him behind the drums, John asked him point blank, “What are you doing for the rest of your life?” In 1998, The Woodies released their first album, “No Goin Back." Bob Bradeen, Rick’s brother, lent his amazing musical talents on the keyboard and the mandolin, as well as countless other instruments on this album and has been with the band since 1993. In May of 2002, The Woodies were introduced to Shannon Stapleton. Originally, Shannon was just a guest singer, however, due to her stellar vocals, stage presence, and persistence, the band made her a permanent “Wood-ette.” In September of 2006, The Woodies released their second album “Late Again.” The band is currently working on their third album, which is scheduled to be released any minute now! Melisa Kary hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and has been a professional vocalist since the age of 17. Her powerful and soulful voice has kept her busy in many Bay Area and Southern California recording studios. She has worked extensively as a lead and background vocalist for Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Brenda Russell, Peabo Bryson, James Brown, Clarence Clemmens, Todd Rundgren & Strokeland's "Kick It Up A Step" - a project by Doc Kupka and players of "Tower of Power", in which she sings the duet "Just As Long As We Have Each Other", with Mickey Thomas.
During a recording session at the Plant Studios in Sausalito, CA Melisa's voice caught the attention of 'Starship' as they were finishing up their latest release. This lead to 10 years of touring with the 80s hit makers and performing to hundreds of thousands, as both lead and background vocalist - and sharing the bill with Howie Mandel, Sam Kinison, Cheap Trick, Bonnie Raitt, Kansas and many more.
Voices of Rock was another memorable experience, when Melisa was featured with Mike Reno of Loverboy, singing the well known duet "Almost Paradise". She also had the honor of sharing the stage with one of her all time favorites; Bobby Kimball of Toto, Jimmy Jamison of Survivor and the late Benjamin Orr of The Cars.

OVERSPILL POETS Northwest UK Music for Itinerant Beat Poets and Arm Chair Drifters
Overspill Poets were first conceived in a Tyneside flat where guitarist George Kitching and singer Tim Taylor filled the hours between delivering sandwiches to office workers and watching endless re-runs of Auf Wiedersehen Pet with spirited impromptu jams. But a long gestation followed, as the founder members initially embarked on separate musical paths.
Formed from the ashes of Hug, who released three eps and an album on Kitchenware in the 90's and were hotly tipped by the NME, Radio 1 and Mark Radcliffe, Overspill Poets head out in a new direction, blending driving alternative rock and alt country guitar jangle with vocals that root them firmly in the North of England.
Described as Bob Mould crashing into REM on Johnny Cash's iPod - The Poets debut recording "Thompson Falls" released by Revenge Western Records, is inspired by a chance visit to the Idaho town of the same name. The title track tells the story of a girl who, despite her big ambitions, fails to escape her home town, becoming weighed down with other peoples expectations. Learning to hide her dreams in shadows on the wall, she absent-mindedly hangs the shopping on the line while her trailer, her "ticket out", is left to rust on bricks in the yard.

For the members of the Informants and their fans, 2008 is affectionately remembered as the year of the band's arrival, but this year will be remembered as the year of the band's ascension. Just as the summer heat of 2009 was kicking in, so was the buzz about the Informants' follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2007 debut, Stiletto Angel. So it was no surprise that in early July word came from the band's label, Wipe It Off! Records, that Crime Scene Queen would finally be released.
Stiletto Angel was released in November 2007 to the warm embrace of critics, with Westword including it among the "Best 2007 Local Releases." Stiletto Angel's distinctive, universally appealing modern roots sound caught the ear of House of Blues Radio Hour host Dan Aykroyd, who featured the title track as the "Blues Breaker" song of the week and said of the band, "they will not be Denver's little secret for long." He was right. Since then more than 300 radio stations worldwide have added the CD to rotation, including a rare #1 debut at WPTS-FM Pittsburgh.
Behind the success of Stiletto Angel the Informants truly had arrived. In 2008 and 2009 they were awarded the Westword Music Showcase "Best Blues" Award and a nomination by the Blues Festival Guide for "2009 Blues Artist on The Rise." They landed a television feature on the Altitude Network music program On Stage, a radio licensing deal, and a song in a surf flick. The Sons of Zeno are Dennis Chamberlain and Bruce Bouck. Established in 1776, the Sons bring their unique perspective on all matters topical and musical, with a twist of American humor on the side. Dennis is a Detroit native, and like Bruce has been a Denver resident since the mid 1800's. A musical Jack of many trades, he writes his songs in a variety of styles, often composing them during his notorious sleepwalking binges. Bruce hails from Kansas City, and has been living in Denver since the early 1800's. His complex guitar solos are a trademark of the Sons of Zeno, and he has a fine singing voice that reminds one of a cross between Johnny Cash and Jerry Garcia.

BISHOP WAYNE Plant City FL Alternative R&B Hip Hop Rock
Bishop Wayne hails from St. Croix, in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands. At the age of 9, he moved with his father to St. Petersburg, Florida and made the short trek to sister city, Tampa, his home. He grew up listening to the varied sounds of Bob Marley, Maxi Priest, Shabba Ranks, Mary J. Blige and New Edition. These influences pushed him to create his own brand of alternative R&B. He defines his music as having "no limits or boundaries." Writing about intimate affairs such as relationships, his music evokes a common spirit for his listeners to overcome their own personal issues.
His love for music was sparked when he began performing backup vocals for his father's band, an experience that led to writing and performing 'Dance Hall' music, and for several local acts in St. Croix, which was just the beginning of his musical accomplishments. To date, his musical distinctions include live radio interviews, fundraiser concerts, television shows and being selected to write and perform a jingle for the world renowned Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball team. A local Virgin Islands tragedy prompted him to write a song about 'Stopping the Violence' and further endeavors have led Bishop to use his music to assist with such humanitarian efforts as hurricane relief and anti-drug campaigns. Bishop was once signed with Darkside Productions, owned by Keith Howard, a sister company of Arista and BMG Records, Inc. Two of Bishops' songs made #1 on The Top 40 list on New Artist Radio (NAR), an Internet radio station, based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, while simultaneously being played throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada and Australia.
As a result of his songs #1 status, Bishop was invited by NAR to perform live at their annual awards show, where he walked away with the prestigious New Artist Radio R&B Artist of the Year award. In mid-2005, Bishop entered a contest with the Recording Academy, Florida Chapter, and was named a semi-finalist in the Florida GRAMMY Showcase. He placed in the top 35 of more than 230 entrants.
Bishop Wayne was the opening act for Ryan Shaw at the well known Orpheum in Ybor City. Currently, he is performing live at local venues in Tampa but is working on dates for his national tour. Bishop's first, full-length album entitled "I'm Just Me" has been digitally distributed globally by InGrooves/Universal Music Group and his latest single "Cool Az" has been picked up by CBS radio stations.
